SNCF Voyageurs turns its seat fabrics into upcycled accessories

What if train seats became everyday accessories? To raise employee awareness of textile circularity, SNCF Voyageurs entrusted Losanje with the transformation of its end-of-life technical fabrics. The result: a series of stylish and useful pouches, made from materials sourced from its own trains.

Context

Revaluing B2B textiles: designing a symbol of circularity for SNCF Voyageurs

To mark its commitment to its employees, SNCF Voyageurs wanted to design a highly symbolic object, drawn from its own textile heritage. Accompanied by the Affective agency, the project was entrusted to LOSANJE to transform a complex material with a strong identity: train seat fabrics.

Transforming technical textiles into sustainable accessories

Several prototypes have been imagined and tested by our design office, to find the perfect balance between design, technicality and durability. Each piece is the fruit of an eco-design approach, valorizing complex technical materials to create useful, robust and meaningful products. The final choice: a computer sleeve in three colors, lined with fine rolls from fashion brands, accompanied by a series of complementary small sleeves.
