Lou Rugby

Lou Rugby upgrades its jerseys for responsible gifting

What happens to unsold jerseys from past seasons? To prevent these textiles from going unused, the rugby club decided to upcycle them and turn them into collectors' accessories. It's an eco-responsible approach that combines design and club memory, aimed at the club's most committed supporters.

Context

A marketing operation designed to build fan loyalty

Sports merchandising plays a strategic role in the image of clubs and the experience of their communities. Through MCom, an agency specializing in personalized textile products, Lou Rugby has chosen an innovative approach: transforming its old jerseys into unique products steeped in history, while integrating an exemplary circular recycling approach.

Design accessories with high symbolic value

Losanje's research department developed a design based on the Lyon team jerseys. Each bag retains identifiable elements (collars, logos, sponsors), to preserve the authenticity of the jersey and highlight the club's history. The textile products are cut and assembled in our own industrial workshop, guaranteeing robust, aesthetic bags in line with the rugby team's graphic identity.
