Textile recycling in sport: a circular solution for Paris Basketball

Every year, sports clubs have to deal with unsold merchandise and obsolete outfits. Aware of the environmental impact of these volumes, Paris Basketball has chosen to take action. Rather than stockpiling or devaluing its old equipment, the club has opted for an ambitious circular approach: textile upcycling as a lever for creation, image and meaning.

Design an upcycled capsule with strong visual and symbolic impact

Our designers and pattern-makers came up with a responsible merchandising capsule, based on the match outfits. The result: two t-shirts (black and white), one pair of shorts and two bananas - desirable, technical products, in keeping with the club's graphic universe. Each piece was manufactured in our French textile workshop, using a controlled cutting and reassembly process, combining design, technicality and circularity.

Paris Basketball's first upcycled collection was conceived as a manifesto: that of a club that combines high stylistic standards, ecological commitment and creativity. Available online on the official boutique, this capsule illustrates perfectly how upcycling textiles can become a vector of communication, impact and differentiation in the world of professional sports.
