Transforming ephemeral media into sustainable merchandising

A partnership in line with the festival's commitment to sustainability
L'Atelier des Légendes, a brand committed to sports and the reuse of materials, helped Golden Coast create its merchandising. Together, they wanted to avoid the usual wasteful use of advertising media and offer a collector's item in keeping with the festival's visual identity. They called on Losanje to manage the technical development and transformation of the tarpaulin: a robust, graphic but demanding material.
Adapted design, controlled transformation
L'Atelier des Légendes set the framework for the project and defined the requirement: to transform the festival's monumental tarpaulin into an iconic, robust and functional product. Losanje handled the design from start to finish, from collecting the tarpaulin to final assembly of the bananas in collaboration with a partner workshop. Losanje's engineering department designed a model specifically for the constraints of event PVC. The cutting process was designed to enhance the graphic visuals of the 2024 edition, making each banana unique. This process creates a tangible link between festival-goers and the history of the event, as a way of preserving a fragment of the Golden Coast.

Launched in 2025 by Atelier des Légendes in the festival's boutique, the product met with strong public response, confirming the public's growing interest in committed, differentiating merchandising. This transformation has enhanced the value of an emblematic Golden Coast visual, strengthened the emotional bond with festival-goers, reduced the festival's environmental impact... and proved that waste can become an iconic product.
